The Cohiba Magicos Maduro 5 is a robostu-sized cigar and is so called because the wrapper used for these cigars have Maduro color, a shade of dark brown, it was developed originally by drying tobacco leaves for five years by natural methods of fermentation instead of artificial techniques used for darkening the leaves. It is almost 4 1/2” i.e. 115mm in length and has a ring gauge of 52. Only the upper leaves of the tobacco plant are used so it is darker in color than most of the wrappers. The wrapper is exceedingly smart, and on touching it is very soft and smooth. It has some discolorations, i.e. a base of brown tone with tinges of a darker brown. Its head is firmer while the body from the band to the foot is quite soft. The foot is well packed and there are no visible holes in it. The draw is not too tight but wider than normal. However, the plus point is that it is not very airy and variations are always present. The cigar seems to adjust itself with each draw and becomes almost perfect after 10 draws. It is quite spicy and woody even when unlit with a very attracting scent but the real magic starts with the first draw. Mixed flavors of cream, cocoa and chocolate can be felt, which is further enhanced by the sweetness of the Maduro wrapper. More attention has been given to its elegance. It has a light to medium body and shows no difference in flavor as it progresses, though it becomes more charming.
